Ahem, we seem to have well strayed from the topic of photography here. Please make an effort to discuss the lenses situation.

Do we have any evidence of actual availability of any new lenses a week ago (in the US) per the thread Subject?
I have seen articles and test reports, mentioning things 'coming in December', yet...

London, UK, 02 November 2023 – Canon Europe today announces the launch of three groundbreaking RF lenses and two new power zoom adapters that offer a breadth of capabilities for content creators of all levels, broadening their creative possibilities.​

Canon Rumers reported in November, "It's rumored that Canon will announce 4 fast L prime wide angle primes in the first half of 2024. Some of these lenses have been on our roadmap for quite some time, but we eagerly wait just like the rest of you."

and as of today (Jan 7) still no inventory of this lens, still 'backorder' per Canon USA
